Spring 2011 - ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis
February 1st kicks off One-to-One hearts at all nine Sendik's stores. For three months ABCD will promote its free services through this remarkable partnership. During February, March and April, customers at all Balistreri Owned and Operated Sendik's Food Markets will have the opportunity to learn more about ABCD's one-to-one support for those impacted by breast cancer. They will also enjoy special opportunities to be part of the one-to-one team by supporting ABCD's work.
First up is the romantic take on one-to-one support. Top quality Valentine's chocolates will be available at each check out register as a "thank you" for every dollar donated to ABCD. Additional promotions will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fall 2010 - Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin
The Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin mission is to feed the hungry in Wisconsin by obtaining food and related products, distributing them to qualified non-profit programs and providing those programs with appropriate assistance.
Aug 1st – Oct 31st - Sendik’s Real Food Magazine
All proceeds from the Fall Issue of our Real Food Magazine will go to Feeding America.
Aug 2nd – Sept 6th Backpack Buddies
Sendik’s has partnered with Feeding America and Fox 6 Milwaukee to sell Backpack Buddies. Proceeds will go towards purchasing backpacks and school supplies for Milwaukee students that need them most.
Aug 16th – Aug 29th - Keep the Change for Feeding America (Round 1)
During this promotion, customers will have the opportunity to have their cashier round their total up to the closest dollar. At the end of the promotion, all money collected will be donated to Feeding America.
Aug 30th – Sept 12th Sendik’s Special Macaroni & Cheese Promotion
During this two week promotion Sendik’s will sell Macaroni & Cheese at all 8 of our locations at a special discounted retail (10 for $5!!!). For every box of Macaroni & Cheese Sendik’s sells, we will donate 1 box to Feeding America.
Sept 13th – Sept 26th Sendik’s Food Drive for Feeding America
Donations in the amounts of $10, $20 & $50 will contribute to pre-built bag of the 10 most needed items as identified by Feeding America.
Sept 27th – Oct 10th Keep the Change for Feeding America (Round 2)
During this promotion, customers will have the opportunity to have their cashier round their total up to the closest dollar. At the end of the promotion, all money collected will be donated to Feeding America.
Summer 2010 - Penfield Children's Center
Penfield Children's Center has been delivering comprehensive, quality childhood development and family programs and services to low-income families and families with children who have disabilities since 1967. Penfield is located in Milwaukee's central city at 26th and Wells streets. The majority of Penfield's children live within five miles of the Center. Penfield Children's
Center serves more than 1,400 children and their families each year and provides comprehensive services to families facing multiple issues, compounded by poverty.
- 90% of Penfield families are living at or below federal poverty levels.
- 90% of the children accomplish one or more of their goals; and 95% of the parents have a better understanding of their child's needs.
